FHCC - Adult Sunday School

Here at Flint Hills Community Church learning about God and His Word never ends! We believe one can never learn all there is to know about God and the Bible, so we actively encourage everyone to become involved in a home Bible study and / or Adult Sunday School class. Our Adult Sunday School class is taught by Pastor Jim Bartsch each Sunday at 10:00am.

Pastor Jim attempts to discuss topics indepth therefore most subjects are discussed over several Sunday's so one can truly understand the material at hand how how to apply it to our daily lives. Active participation is encourage with questions from the audience being a regular occurance. Past topics have included studies of specific books of the Bible to studies geared to loving your spouse or being a good steward of what God provides you to DVD presentations on current events.

Currently, the Adult Sunday School Class is viewing a DVD series taught by John Regier, entitled, "Rekindling Marital Intimacy." John is founder and director of Caring for the Heart Ministries, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

John Regier, author and conference speaker, pastored for 24 years prior to opening a counseling office in Colorado Springs. He received his BA from Grace College of the Bible and a Master of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary.

His counseling approach applies Biblical solutions to problems individuals/couples encounter so they can experience the freedom God originally planned for them.

John and his wife, Barb, who accompanies him to conferences, reside in Colorado Springs and have four grown children.

John founded Biblical Concepts in Counseling in 1996 and served as president until recently when he started Caring for the Heart Ministries. About Rekindling Marital Intimacy

God intended for us to enjoy emotional intimacy in marriage. Many couples do not know what is keeping them from experiencing fulfillment. This 12 hour video/DVD series shares ten specific spiritual and emotional problems which, if resolved, will bring resolution to the problems and intimacy to the marriage. Each session includes testimonies of couples or individuals who came to freedom, using the principles taught. It is followed by a discussion of the problem and steps to understand and resolve the emotional or spiritual problems in one’s life or marriage. It may be used by individuals/couples, in counseling, home Bible studies or in a church setting. The Biblical Concepts Counseling Workbook includes charts to complete in each chapter to resolve the issue presented. We recommend each individual have a workbook of their own as they watch the presentation and encourage them to complete each assignment to resolve individual issues.

FHCC also has a specific prayer meeting at 9:30am before Sunday School where those who attend are able to put forth specific prayer requests and join together with one another in prayer. Sunday School directly follows this meeting at 10:00am with regular worship services at 10:45am.
