Our church believes in putting into action today what Acts 1:8 says, "....be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  We pray God finds us faithful in serving Him and helping to spread His Word on a local, state and national level as well as to the ends of the earth!

FHCC has reached out locally by organizing Small Bible Studies in homes across the county, having summer VBS, AWANA and Sunday School for the children, ACEs for the teens, MAMAs for mothers, and having services at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Our pastor also holds three Bible Studies at the Chase County Detention Center weekly.  We are also a member of the Chase County Ministerial Alliance and try to help other local projects as much as we can.

FHCC contributes prayerfully and financially to the following Ministries:

Family Life Services Pregnancy Center - Emporia, Kansas - This ministry seeks to help young women who need pregnancy, financial, spiritual, and medical counciling.  The Pregnancy Crisis Center bases its counseling on the moral and scriptural aspects of choosing life in sometimes difficult situations.  Phone them at (620) 342-2244.

University of Kansas Campus Crusade for Christ - Lawrence, Kansas - This is an evangelical, non-denominational organization seeking to spread the truth of the Good News about Christ.
Mark and Brenda Brown serve as directors.  Campus Crusade has many activities to help students walk in their Christian faith on a secular campus.  Mark and Brenda have also served in outreach ministries in Lima, Peru and for the Katrina victims in Louisiana.  Visit www.markandbrendabrown.com for more info and prayer requests.

Golden Spur Ministries - Baxter Springs, Kansas - Cory and Leslie Young's ministry is to spread Christ's message to Rodeo and Rural America.  Cory holds non-denominational services at rodeos throughout the United States and tries to speak one-on-one to the cowboys involved.  Cory also holds Cowboy Rodeo Camps for young boys and girls with an emphasis on Bible Study and developing a relationship with the Lord.

Focus on the Family - Colorado Springs, Colorado - Directed by James Dobson, this ministry seeks to spread Christianity and its principles to families, communities, governments, and societies worldwide. The programs and ministries within this organization are numerous and diverse, but all are based on the principle that if we can keep the family unit strong in Christ and His teachings, then we can, and should have, a positive Christian influence in every other area of society.

The Navigators - East Asia - Steve and Anne Kuhlich endeavor to help men and women in east Asia to have a meaningful relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  They help those who respond grow in their walk with God through personal Bible study, prayer and memorization of Scripture.

Avant Ministries - Poznan, Poland - Ruth Dauber endeavors to help Polish women find a personal relationship with God.  She works primarily through Gospel Joy, a Polish choir that sings black American gospel music from America's Deep South.  She has had many opportunities to tell Polish women in the choir about Jesus, whom they sing about in the gospel songs!

International Missionary Fellowship, Inc - Bombardopolis, Haiti - Steve and Faith Leach have been serving Jesus in the Hopital Evangelique de Bombardopolis (Bombardopolis Evangelical Hospital) since 1996. The ten-bed hospital serves the 50,000 people who live in the area.

Christian Aid - International - Christian Aid
sends financial help to over 700 evangelistic ministries based in lands of great poverty or where evangelical Christians are a persecuted minority. Priority is given to supporting those which work among unreached peoples where our Lord has no people.  It also provides assistance to victims of persecution, diseases, and disasters.  Through Christian Aid, FHCC supports, in particular, CAIUA Evangelical Mission and the Slavic Radchuk TV/Radio outreach in the former Soviet Bloc.

Open Doors - International - Open Doors is a mission delivering Bibles, teaching trades, and providing Biblical training, which are practical examples of demonstrating God's love to our persecuted brothers and sisters.

Food for the Hungry - International - We participate with Food for the Hungry in sponsoring four children living in poverty in a third world country.
